The best way to know St. Bartholomew’s is to join us for worship on Sunday morning at 10:00am. We know that attending a church for the first time might feel a bit daunting. Here is some practical information to help your visit go smoothly.

Directions to the church
The service begins at 10:00am. It’s best to arrive a few minutes early to allow yourself time to get settled in the sanctuary. A greeter will provide you with a bulletin that guides you through the liturgy.
Worship
Our form of worship, which traces many of its aspects to the earliest centuries of Christianity, is quite unlike most modern church services. The Liturgy (literally “the work of the people”) detailed in our 1928 Book of Common Prayer can feel unfamiliar, at least at first—when to stand, when to kneel, what to chant.
Please do not worry if it all seems rather confusing. Over time, we are confident you will experience the deep comfort we do participating in its ritual beauty, but for now, please relax and simply enjoy God’s peace.

After the Service
Although we try our best to create a sense of reverence and seriousness in the sanctuary, do not misinterpret this as us taking ourselves very seriously! We would love to have you join us for coffee and delicious food, downstairs in the Parish Hall, immediately following the service. We welcome any questions, comments, and feedback, either after the service, or via email. You can reach Father Rick Gregory at info@st-bartholomews.org.
